Hy-Vee has introduced the Sterile Cart System on a trial basis with the intention of extending the program to 275 Midwest stores.
Randy Edeker, CEO of Hy-Vee stated, “Since the beginning of the pandemic it has been our desire to put Hy-Vee customers’ minds at ease with thorough sanitation measures.” He added, “We are always looking at innovative ways to improve store operations, improve the shopping experience for customers, and ensure health and safety.”
The Sterile Cart System is manufactured by Izza Manufacturing in Buffalo, MN and distributed by Ultra Green Packaging. The Sterile Cart dispenses a disinfectant with virucidal activity over entire carts at a rate of one per second on a push-through basis.
