Consumption of Chicken Reduces Carbon Emissions Compared to Beef

According to a recent report in Environmental Science News, consuming chicken reduces carbon emissions compared to beef. The report was based on the National Health and Nutrition Examination survey of 16,000 participants. The study involved calculation of carbon emissions based on their responses. Dr. Diego Rose of Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine commented “We knew eating chicken instead of beef would lower carbon emissions related to diet”.
