FSIS Recall of Beef

In a November 15th release, the FSIS announced that Central Valley Meat Company located in Hanford, CA. is recalling 17 tons of ground beef products. This action was taken following confirmation of the presence of Salmonella Dublin in product processed on or about July 23rd 2019.  Implicated product was shipped to Stater Brothers among other stores.

The recall arises from a September 9th traceback of a cluster of ten cases in six states with onset of illness ranging from August 8th to September 27th.

Since the use-by date is mid-August 2019, a considerable quantity of product may still be in domestic household freezers.
