U.S. Broiler Plants Approved by China


The Customs Authority of China has published a list of 172 plants eligible to export from the U.S. effective November 22nd. Cold Storage facilities involved in shipments have yet to be approved.


According to the USAPEEC MondayLine of November 26th, label requirements for inner and outer packaging must be in both English and Mandarin Chinese.


Chicken from the U.S. will be subject to a tariff equivalent to the Most Favored Nation rate plus a retaliatory surcharge of 35 percent.
