Recall of Canadian Breaded Chicken Products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a Class I recall on October 26th for chicken burgers marketed under the Sofina brand.

The burgers are breaded but uncooked and are packed in groups of ten. The label clearly indicates “uncooked” but recently cases of Salmonella have been attributed to breaded uncooked chicken products. As of late October, 25 cases of Salmonella infection have been diagnosed in nine Provinces leading to trace back and the necessary recall.
