In a company release on October 8th, McDonald's Corp reported a global same-store sales decrease of 2.2 percent compared to Q3 of 2019, before the emergence of COVID. The U.S. achieved a positive 4.6 percent on 
promotions, drive-through and delivery sales. International Operated Markets declined by 4.4 percent due to negatives in France, Spain, Germany and the U.K. International Developmental Licensed Markets declined by 10.1 percent. A gain in Japan in this segment was offset by declines in China and Latin America.
